Pancakes are always delicious, but if you're getting bored of whipping up the same old flapjacks morning after morning, you might want to grab some apples for your next batch.

This simple recipe uses normal pancake mix and combines it with the favorite fall fruit for a flavor-packed morning meal. They're so sweet, you might not even need syrup! Just add a dash of cinnamon or powdered sugar and you'll be set. And be sure to make enough for everyone to have second (and third) helpings.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2-3 apples
  • 1 cup of pancake mix
  • flour for dusting the apples
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • cutting board
  • spatula
  • peeler
  • whisk
  • shallow mixing containers
  • large chopping knife
  • paring knife

Once you've sliced the apples up, you'll dip them in the batter and fry them on a pre-greased pan:

That's a major upgrade from the normal breakfast classic, but so simple! Goodbye plain pancakes, you're history from now on.
