He Turned An Old Motorcycle Helmet Into The Coolest Garden Accessory Ever

Jessica is a writer who lives in Queens, NY. She spends most of her time listening to One Direction, watching TV, and hanging out with her one-eyed cat, Rigby.

Do you prefer your flowers a little on the wild side? In that case, you can't just stick them in any regular old planter or pot.

Give your garden a dash of heavy metal with this awesome and super-easy upcycled motorcycle helmet project. All the squares on the rest of your block will be totally jealous of your extra cool factor.

Start with your old, junked-up helmet.

And grab a cheap, 8-inch plastic planter.

Remove all the padding from the helmet.

It shouldn't be too hard to snap out.

The empty helmet will look like this.

Trace the circumference of your planter on top.

Now you're all set to start cutting.

This guy used a vibrating Dremel tool.

Then pry that bad boy open.

You might have to trim back some of the foam for the planter to fit, too.

Pop it right inside...

And your garden just got a whole lot more awesome.

This ain't your grandma's planter.

Unless of course your grandma is just super dang cool. Either way, you're rocking the sweetest-looking flower pots in the whole neighborhood.
