You Can Make Delicious Candy With Two Ingredients You Already Have At Home

Come October, candy becomes less of a guilty pleasure and more of a daily habit. But even if you're able to withstand the temptations of all the sweets that lie around every corner (I salute you), you don't have to feel bad about this simple and actually kinda healthy (okay...it's not unhealthy) recipe for hard candies.

The best part? All you need are two ingredients...

Yep -- just one cup of sugar and two lemons.

Juice your citrus into a bowl over a strainer.

Mix the sugar with just enough juice to dissolve everything -- it should only require a few tablespoons.

Then put the mixture over a medium-high flame and bring it to a boil.

Occasionally, drop some of the syrup into a bowl of cold water.

If it crystalizes, you're ready to go -- remove it from the heat.

Pour your mix into a mold.

You can also use parchment paper on a cookie sheet and form little drops.

Let it cool...

And you've got delicious sweets to share (or eat solo)!

Your friends will be super impressed when you tell them your Halloween candy is homemade!
