Break Eggs Into A Plastic Bag For A Mess-Free Way To Make Omelettes

SEPTEMBER 17, 2015

Everyone loves omelettes, but not everyone loves wrangling them into shape in a frying pan. That usually ends up in what we referred to as "egg mess" in my house. It tastes fine, but it's just...well...a mess.

Making a mess at home isn't always a problem, but when you're on vacation, or you're having company over for brunch and everyone wants omelettes, things can get overwhelming. Luckily, there's a simple way to make omelettes like a pro.

All you have to do is add two eggs to a resealable freezer bag...

...along with any extra ingredients.

Perfect, burrito-shaped omelettes are the end result!

If you're worried about wasting the bags, don't be. Heavy-duty freezer bags like these can actually be washed and reused. This method is also great for camping, as it lets you cut down on the amount of cooking equipment you'll need to bring with you. After you master this trick, you'll be able to make perfect omelettes just about anywhere!
