Jessica is a writer who lives in Queens, NY. She spends most of her time listening to One Direction, watching TV, and hanging out with her one-eyed cat, Rigby.

Over time, our ovens get coated with so much grease, gunk, and grime that it can be hard to remember what's underneath all of the icky mess. All that hard work heating up our meals doesn't come easy, y'know. Luckily, there's an easy way to wipe the slate clean in a snap.

This genius trick is so simple and works so well. You'll totally feel like an actual magician when you see the results.

This oven has clearly seen some serious casseroles in its day.

Use about a quarter cup of baking soda mixed with water and create a paste to cover the glass and door.

After about 15-30 minutes (depending on your yuck-level), wipe away the mixture and the stains with it!

If there are still spots left when you're done wiping everything away, a scouring pad should do the trick without too much effort. Seriously, it could not be easier!
