Carving a pumpkin isn't always easy, especially if creating details (and not chopping up your fingers) isn't your thing. It can be a little disappointing, too, when you have such high hopes for an awesome jack-o'-lantern...but end up with something that looks more like a crime scene (but not in a good, spooky way).

However, there is hope! If you'd rather have something do the hard work for you, there's another holiday item you can use -- one not typically associated with Halloween.

Cookie cutters aren't just for cutting dough -- they can also cut through pumpkin! You'll need a mallet for this, too. (And enough self-control not to smash your pumpkin.)

Now you can have the most enviable pumpkins on the block, with a fraction of the effort and a lot less finger-slicing. Pick up some seasonal cookie cutters at the store and see what you can come up with!
