Jessica is a writer who lives in Queens, NY. She spends most of her time listening to One Direction, watching TV, and hanging out with her one-eyed cat, Rigby.

You know that old sweater in the back of your closet? The one that hasn't seen the light of day since even before last winter? Well, it can be upgraded to a totally cute new clothing item. And it will still keep you comfy!

With a few easy steps, you can transform that sad sweater into adorable slipper boots that will keep your toes cozy and warm all winter long.

Here's everything you'll need:

Trace your foot on regular paper for the sole, leaving a little extra room for comfort.

Then cut those out of the body area of the sweater.

Use double-sided tape to keep the pattern in place if you'd like.

Then, stick your feet into the sleeve and trim to the length you'd like.

Pin the pieces together.

Use yarn and a blanket stitch to secure the sweater sections together.

You can also add stitching detail at the top for maximum cuteness.

These would also make perfect holiday gifts for all your friends! Just make sure you know their shoe sizes.
