Chances are, many of you have a pair of old, banged-up speakers somewhere in your house. You can't quite bring yourself to throw them out because they still work...but you're also too ashamed by the way they look to bust them out at any sort of get-together.
Well, here's what you can and should do with them to get the most out of 'em:
Look familiar, huh?
Take those bad boys apart.
This guy drew out a rough sketch of what he wanted to make.
After measuring a few versions of the life-size dimensions, he checked what fit best.
He then cut out the pieces of wood with a band saw.
And made slots for the actual speakers.
They don't have to line up perfectly, because they'll be covered soon.
While the speakers originally had a wall plug battery, he replaced it with a remote control car one.
This way, the speakers are portable.
If you want, you can shove foam in the extra space so things don't move around.
After he sealed it up, he put some fabric around the exterior.
Recycle and rock out!
