Cupcakes have two main purposes in life: to be delicious and to be adorable. The tiny cakes come in all sorts of flavors, colors, and designs. It's pretty difficult to mess one up. Plain grocery store cupcakes with a ridiculously sweet frosting and gourmet pistachio cakes with a subtle buttercream frosting are both enjoyable in their own ways.

When you take a waffle iron to a cupcake, though, you bring your cupcake game to a whole new level.

The waffle cupcake is next-level awesomeness.

That's the stuff.

When you combine a toasted texture, the sweetness of the batter, and traditional waffle flavors? You make a popping breakfast party for your tastebuds.

If you have a waffle iron in your home, what are you waiting for?
