Tired Of Your Lame, Boring Wall? Do This To It...It's Only $20!

Jessica is a writer who lives in Queens, NY. She spends most of her time listening to One Direction, watching TV, and hanging out with her one-eyed cat, Rigby.

After the 1970s, wood panel walls got a bit of a bad reputation. But now they're making a comeback in a totally cute way. No cheesy shag carpet necessary for this simple project.

Whether you're looking to cover up a painting mistake, dusty drywall, or are just in the mood for something different, look no further. With only $20 worth of cedar shims, this woman gave her dining room an accent wall you'll be dying to install in your home, too.

She stained most of the shims with a golden pecan color and the rest in a darker walnut shade.

Starting from the bottom, she used a regular hot glue gun to secure the shims to the wall.

The gorgeous, rustic result!

Some of the edges weren't cut super evenly, so she had to use smaller pieces to fill in some gaps. Of course, that only adds to the overall charm of the wall! She couldn't believe how well the hot glue worked -- there's no denying it did the job.
